What we can make

These are typical directions and formats we often work with. They are examples, not an exhaustive list. Each commission is shaped around the material, the setting and the intended use of the object.

We also receive other materials over time, and you are welcome to ask for a specific timber species or character. If material has to be sourced specially from a distributor or another external supplier, the story of the timber may be less precise than with timber of known local or earlier use.

• Cutting and serving boards in different formats and expressions.
• Shelves, smaller storage pieces and wall-mounted solutions for specific rooms.
• Small tables, side pieces and simple furniture for defined places and functions.
• Distinct one-off pieces when a task calls for specific dimensions, proportions or functions.

Process

1. Inquiry

   You send a short description of the task, preferably with dimensions, intended use and any photographs of the timber.

2. Material assessment

   We assess the condition of the material, its possibilities and its limits. If the timber is not right for the task, we say so plainly.

3. Design & build

   We agree on format, surface, price and timeframe. The object is then made at a calm pace and with respect for the character of the wood.

4. Register & delivery

   When the object is finished, it can be entered in the Billesholm Register and delivered or collected by agreement.

What we need from you

• Photos of the timber or the place where the object will be used
• Dimensions, function and any practical requirements
• The story of the timber, if it matters to the commission

Pricing principle

Pricing depends on the scope of the task, the condition of the material and the time the work requires. You will receive a clear proposal before anything begins.

When a commission depends on a specific material request, we assess availability, quality and how clearly the origin of the material can be documented.
